The BSNL in Kerala has launched its Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) services in the state yesterday opening plenty of interactive and on demand video and audio services apart from a host of television channels.
The venture is in collaboration with Smart Digivision private limited under the brand name ‘Myway.’ Initially, the IPTV service that requires a BSNL broadband connection will be available in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram and subsequently be extended to Thrissur and Kozhikode.
The service will be available for broadband customers serviced by exchanges having the ‘multi play’ facility. The list of exchanges where the service will be available will be posted on the web site ‘www.keralatelcom.com’ on Saturday.The ‘base package’ of IPTV services is priced at Rs.200 (96 channels) and the super value pack at Rs.280 per month (126 channels).
